I used PFD (Prepared For Dyeing) fabric, and various colors of the tissue paper and layered them on in little torn strips on the wet PFD. I then sprayed the tissue paper witha mister to get it really wet so it would bleed down into the PFD fabric.

To Tie Dye Fabric: Wet the piece of fabric and put it in a plastic pan to keep work area dry. Place torn pieces of tissue on the fabric, continuing to spray the tissue and tapping with brush. Let the fabric dry. Once it is dry, pick the chips of tissue from the fabric. Iron it and rinse it in cold water in the sink. Let it dry again and reiron.
